Chief Communications Executive | Public Affairs Strategist | Crisis, Reputation & Organizational Change Leader
Let me introduce myself...
I lead strategic communications, public affairs, and executive messaging in high-visibility environments where decisions carry public consequence and trust must be earned.
For more than 15 years, I have advised executive leaders, institutions, and public-facing organizations through crisis, transformation, reputation management, stakeholder engagement, and organizational change.
I have served in cabinet-level Chief Communications and senior executive leadership roles in large urban school systems, leading enterprise communications strategy in Cleveland and Portland, and in senior government communications leadership supporting both city and county mayoral administrations. My experience also includes communications leadership for globally recognized brands, including American Airlines and McDonald’s, where I led work spanning crisis response, executive visibility, internal transformation, stakeholder alignment, and culture communications.
I do not view communications as message development. I view it as leadership infrastructure.
Strong communications clarifies decisions, manages risk, builds credibility, and helps institutions move people through difficult moments with intention.
Across sectors, my work has included executive communications, crisis and reputation management, media relations, public affairs, labor communications, community engagement, institutional brand strategy, and strategic storytelling designed to inform action and strengthen trust.
I am a proud Memphis native and Hampton University graduate whose career has been shaped by public service, corporate leadership, and mission-driven work. Those experiences sharpened my understanding of how leadership operates under pressure, how institutions earn public confidence, and what communication requires when the stakes are high.
I also speak and write on communications, leadership, public trust, organizational change, and storytelling because narrative influences culture, perception, and decision-making.
If you are here because of a leadership opportunity, speaking engagement, strategic advisory conversation, or to explore my body of work, welcome.
